Urology Surgery
MedStar Good Samaritan's urologists are experienced in all techniques to diagnose and treat disorders of the male and female urinary tract, and the male sexual and reproductive organs.
Some of the more common conditions treated by our urologists include kidney stones, urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence [the inability to hold urine or wetting yourself] in both men and women, cancers of the kidney, bladder, and prostate, benign disease of the prostate gland [causing difficulty in urinating in men over 50], and male sexual dysfunction.
At MedStar Good Samaritan, we utilize state-of-the art diagnostic and surgical instruments to offer laparoscopic [minimally invasive] surgery, endoscopic surgery [surgeries performed on the urinary tract without making any incisions on the body at all], and traditional open surgery if necessary. Good Samaritan's urologists also offer surgical lasers to perform some prostate surgery.
