PET produces powerful images of the body's metabolic, physiological, and biochemical functions. It traces metabolic activity to better characterize the nature and extent of the anatomic abnormalities. The result is early and more accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and closer monitoring. PET is approved by Medicare for the diagnosis, staging and restaging of solitary pulmonary nodules, non-small cell lung cancer, esophageal cancer, colorectal cancer, lymphoma, melanoma and head/neck cancer. To receive a supply of PET Patient Referral Forms, call 410-933-2290.
