Good Samaritan Hospital wins local marketing/public relations awards

Good Samaritan Hospital’s Marketing & Communications department won five first-place awards in the Maryland Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development’s Alfred Knight presentation held on April 3rd. The Society recognizes excellence in Maryland healthcare strategy and communications.
First place awards went to: Happy Days! Taking you back…to Good Health in the Capabilities/Overview Collateral>$20k category, which is a retro calendar targeted to Babyboomers; S.S. Good Samaritan Own Your Ship in the Hot Topics – Customer Service category for their Hospital Week celebration; Livin’ Large & In Charge of Our Culture of Safety in the Internal Communications <$20k category for posters that helped to exemplify Good Samaritan’s safety standards; Red Hot Mommas in the New Product or Service Launch category for their new menopause education program; and Good Samaritan Hospital Web Site Redesign in the web site category. In addition, the Hospital was a Best of Show nominee for the Happy Days! Taking you back to Good Health calendar.
Good Samaritan’s Marketing & Communications staff is led by Jennifer Wilkerson, vice president of marketing, planning and business development, and Kris Roeder, director of marketing. Members include: Debbie Bangledorf, media relations manager; Betsy Charlow, senior public relations specialist; Tracy Masur, graphic designer; Laura Schoefield, administrative coordinator; Kelly Stevens, senior public relations specialist; and Donna Thompson, event coordinator. Debbie Bena, R.N., and Karen Kansler, R.N., lead Good Samaritan’s community outreach efforts.
